VIDEO: MSD Massacre Survivor Running For Congress

A Parkland school shooting survivor is launching a run for Congress. Cameron Kasky, now 25, announced in a video on X that he's seeking the Democratic nomination in New York's 12th District.

Kasky, who was a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School when 17 people were killed in 2018, says his experience pushed him into politics, arguing the system enabled the tragedy.

In the video, Kasky says, "My classmates and I learned the hard way that this shooting didn't happen in spite of the American system," but "because of it."

Kasky's classmates include former DNC co-vice chair David Hogg.

The race already includes JFK's grandson Jack Schlossberg and a former Nadler aide.
