Clearwater, FL - A Clearwater woman faces criminal charges after Pinellas Park police say she allegedly used Silly String to attack a man at a local restaurant.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Pinellas Park Police Department, 48-year-old Krystl Watts confronted the victim at the OCC Road House on 49th Street North on Thursday night.

Police allege that Watts sprayed the victim with Silly String and then threw the empty can at his head, causing a laceration to his forehead.

The affidavit does not provide information on how Watts and the victim may have known each other or what prompted the alleged attack.

Watts was taken into custody on a misdemeanor battery charge and has since posted bond.

Court records indicate she is no longer in jail pending further legal proceedings.

Authorities described the incident as unusual due to the use of Silly String, typically considered a novelty or celebratory item, in the commission of an alleged assault.

The Pinellas Park Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the event.

No additional details were provided regarding potential motives or prior interactions between Watts and the victim.

The case is being processed through the Pinellas County court system, and updates may be released as the investigation and legal proceedings continue.

The incident highlights the potential for common household or party items to be misused in ways that result in criminal charges and injury.
