Final Vote On Miami-Dade Budget Expected Tonight

Miami-Dade Commissioners expected to pass the twelve-point-nine-billion-dollar budget after another public hearing tonight. Mayor Daniella Levine Cava says they started out 400 million in the red, but they found money from existing funds, FEMA reimbursements and savings. The budget meets funding requests by the Sheriff's Office and will not cut into the Parks department as much as expected. There's no more gas tax, Air Rescue costs are covered and Metro Connect is staying with a 3-dollar-seventy-five cent fare.
