The Future Of Ft. Lauderdale's Arts Park Still Up In The Air

Ft. Lauderdale's Arts Park deal under the microscope three years after a developer planned to build a food hall and concert venue there but has yet to break ground. The land is in Flager Village, part of Commissioner Steve Glassman's district. He would like to see this type of development over more high-rises, but he's worried about the conditions. The cost of the project has gone from 140-to-190-million over the past three years. Commissioners say they want a construction timeline, financing plan and good-faith payment of 250 thousand before a final vote.
