The Florida Department of Emergency Mangement won't confirm or deny reports that Alligator Alcatraz could be shutting down within a matter of days. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is hoping the reports are true. She says it was built without proper permitting or review. A federal judge ordered the migrant detainee facility to close by late October, but sources say a local rabbi was told it would shut down much sooner. The state is appealing the ruling and moving forward with plans to build a second facility dubbed "Deportation Depot" near Jacksonville.
