A chlorine gas leak has prompted evacuations in Martin County.
Fire Rescue says that just before 11 a.m., crews were sent to a hazardous materials incident at Dixie Highway and Southeast 3rd Street in Hobe Sound.
Firefighters confirm there was a chlorine gas leak involving a 150-pound water treatment cylinder and that one person had to be taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Homes and businesses within a 330-foot perimeter were evacuated and Dixie Highway was shut down in the area.
