A boil water order is in effect for an area of Wellington.

It was put into place as a precaution after a water main break and affects residents living between 332 and 389 Park Forest Way, which is off Forest Hill Boulevard.

The notice will remain in effect until two consecutive days of bacteriological samples yield satisfactory results, according to Village utilities officials.

Notices have been placed on the doors of affected residents. Residents are instructed not to use tap water for drinking or cooking. Bottled water should be used or tap water should be boiled at a rolling boil for one minute.
