Miami, FL - Police arrested a 53-year-old massage therapist on Tuesday after he allegedly sexually assaulted a client and attempted to bribe her into silence.
According to police, officers responded to the Massage Envy in Mary Brickell Village following a report that Jorge Cardenio Destrades Llanes digitally penetrated a 28-year-old woman while massaging her thigh during a full-body massage.
The victim told police that Destrades Llanes offered her money to keep quiet about the incident.
The arrest report details that Destrades Llanes left the massage room, and the victim began to get dressed.
He then returned with his phone and requested her phone number to send the money.
Destrades Llanes then sent $200 via Zelle, but the woman never received it, as the phone number provided was incorrect by one digit.
During the investigation, Destrades Llanes told officers that he felt the victim was seducing him, which led to the alleged unintentional touching of her genitals.
He claimed the woman asked if he could "pay for the massage," to which he agreed and sent the $200, believing she requested money due to his inappropriate contact.
Destrades Llanes was arrested and charged with sexual battery.
Destrades Llanes was taken into custody and transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond.
