Three-Legged Bear Breaks Into Seminole County Home, Raids Fridge

Heathrow, FL - A three-legged bear nicknamed "Tripod" surprised a Seminole County homeowner by entering her house and checking her fridge on Thursday.

The homeowner, identified as Julieta Cuesta, filmed the encounter from a safe distance behind a window.

According to Cuesta, Tripod entered her residence around 4:29 a.m. before exiting just a few minutes later by tearing through the screened porch door.

Despite the initial surprise, Cuesta described Tripod as "friendly."

The curious bear reportedly opened the refrigerator, even closing it after finding no food.

Thursday's incident isn't Tripod's first foray into human dwellings.

In September, the bear gained internet fame after being filmed stealing White Claw seltzers from a family's outdoor fridge in Lake Mary.

Tripod's latest escapade serves as a reminder for residents to secure their homes and avoid leaving food accessible to wildlife.
