Coconut Creek, FL - A Coconut Creek mother was arrested for pointing a gun at another driver during a road rage incident with her children inside the car.
The Coconut Creek Police Department responded to a report of a road rage incident shortly after 8:00 a.m.
The victim told police she was cut off by a Toyota Corolla driven by 25-year-old Tabresha Renese Jackson.
The victim said that a horn honk to signal the infraction enraged Jackson, who responded with verbal abuse.
According to the arrest report, the victim witnessed Jackson retrieve a gun from the back seat and point it at her.
The victim observed a young child in the front passenger seat, later identified as Jackson's 6-year-old daughter.
Officers quickly located Jackson's vehicle and took her into custody.
Jackson claimed she felt justified in cutting off the other driver and admitted to having a firearm in the car.
A search of the vehicle revealed a Glock 43 pistol within reach of Jackson's young daughter.
Jackson was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and child neglect.
She also received citations for driving without a licensed passenger over 21 while holding a learner's permit and having excessive windshield tint.
Jackson was transported to a hospital for a medical evaluation before being booked into the Broward Main Jail on a $20,000 bond.
