Man Leads Police on Chaotic Chase, Ends Up in Jail

Cape Coral, FL - A Southwest Florida man who fled a traffic stop and hit six cars was arrested on multiple charges by Cape Coral police.

The incident began with a traffic stop when Cape Coral Police Department officers attempted to pull over a white Ford Fusion driven by 21-year-old Seth McGrath for speeding near Skyline Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Parkway.

McGrath allegedly disregarded the stop sign and accelerated, leading to a chase.

During the pursuit, McGrath's car collided with two vehicles before he continued his reckless driving.

One officer lost sight of McGrath and instead responded to the initial hit-and-run accident to ensure the safety of the driver.

McGrath continued his rampage, striking a total of six cars in his attempt to evade capture.

Another officer witnessed one of these collisions and observed McGrath fleeing the scene on foot.

McGrath was eventually apprehended by law enforcement and claimed he fled due to a lack of a driver's license.

However, a records check revealed a valid license from Illinois.

McGrath was transported to the Lee County Jail on charges of fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and resisting arrest.
