Bradenton, Fl.(Florida News Network)-A Manatee County Sheriff's Deputy injured after an alleged car thief deliberately ran her over, is expected to be released from the hospital soon. The 23 year old woman accused of hitting the officer is charged with second-degree attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. Manatee Sheriff Rick Wells says the deputy had located a white Ford Taurus that had been reported stolen, when she approached the vehicle, the driver, Katarina VanFossen hit the deputy with the front of the car, causing the deputy to go onto the hood and windshield.
