NASA "Worm" Returns For SpaceX Flight

The NASA "worm" will return.

The "worm" is the old NASA logo that dates back to the 1970s. It looks like it is drawn with one long red line, looking a bit like a worm.

NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine announced that the old logo will make its return when a SpaceX Dragon crew capsule launches from the Kennedy Space Center.

The logo will return for a mission that marks NASA's return to human spaceflight. Humans have not launched from American soil since the shuttle program ended back in 2011.

SpaceX has a contract to ferry astronauts to the International Space Station. The private firm founded by Elon Musk is also working on a manned mission to Mars.
