Florida congresswoman in the spotlight at impeachment hearings.

Orlando Congresswoman Val Demings is playing a feature role in the impeachment inquiry underway in Washington. Orlando's former police chief, a Democrat, got to question Jennifer Williams and Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman about their claims of a quid-pro-quo and took a swipe at the president.

"President Trump's unethical demand that Ukraine deliver politically motivated investigations in exchange for military assistance," Demings said, "created a security risk for our- the United States of America national security."

The congresswoman said the fact that the security assistance was delayed, even though it was eventually delivered, could have sent the message to Russia that the bond between the U.S. and Ukraine was weakening.

Demings is the lone Floridian on the House Intelligence Committee which is leading the impeachment probe. Republican members call this inquiry a show, backing the president's claim it was a 'perfect call.'
